I started this business because I kept seeing the same problem over and over again; small businesses not understanding and managing their financials. They don’t have a budget, don’t regularly review their profit and loss, and live week to week, never knowing how much they can actually afford to pay themselves. The only time they really look is when their accountant sits them down at tax time and gives them the run down.
I’m a chartered accountant, a BAS agent, part of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, and hold a Bachelor of Commerce. This list of credentials is probably painting me as a beige-slacks-and-sensible-shoes wearing snore machine, but I’m excited to tell you how inaccurate that is.
When it comes down to the nitty gritty of my job, I’m an absolute nerd. Raising-her-hand-to-answer-every-question type of nerd. I’m passionate and smart and really do adore the financial world.
However, I’m also a real people person. I live to help real people break down the financial jargon and use the info to grow their business. I’m friendly, colourful, outgoing and not afraid of a good chat. At the end of the day, I’m one human connecting with another human and using that knowledge to shape my work ethic.
